Be sure to watch our video on how to properly use the Seam Square.
The Featherweight Accurate Seam Square simplifies seam accuracy. Achieve a proper seam allowance fast and easy by lowering the tip of the needle through hole of the desired seam width then use the square to align the edge of the Featherweight Accurate Seam Guide (sold separately). Fasten the seam guide in place and your seam allowance guide is set. Raise machine needle and be ready to sew!
Accurate Seam Square is black and features the gold trim to emulate our vintage black Featherweights. Keep gauge handy whenever you want to set the ideal quarter inch seam allowance. Some quilters prefer a true quarter inch whereas others prefer a scant.
NOTE: Needle sizes always grow on the right side of the needle (click here for tutorial), so the most accurate measurement with your needle will be with it resting on the left side of any hole on the Featherweight Accurate Seam Square. This Square works for the Singer 301, 15, and any machine that threads from right to left through the needle. Seam Square will accommodate a size 90/14 needle and smaller.
Seam Measurements include: 3/4″, 5/8″, 1/2″, 3/8″, 1/4″ and Scant 1/4″. 1/8″ is included as well, however, the narrow 1/8 inch measurement will only work with a zipper or cording foot and not the original presser foot.
Featherweight Accurate Seam Guide is not included with Seam Square but can be purchased separately in either black or clear.
