We are very excited to add this unique and lovely Featherweight 221 to the site.  Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled – rest assured, this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case.  Powerful original 110v motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque!

AF760*** indicates an original production commission date of January 7th, 1941 and is given a Grade 8-.  Be sure to click on any image to view the reflective beauty of this Singer Featherweight machine.  The machine is truly in gorgeous condition with just some pin scratches and minimal clearcoat wear.  

What makes this Featherweight special?

Right from the start you probably noticed the distinctive characteristics of this 221s case.  It has the extremely desirable type II corduroy case insert from the late 1930s.  Filled with notions and accessories, this was and still is a very desirable accompaniment to the Featherweight!

Are you a Quilter?  Additional Quilting Attachments can be purchased here, and if you need any Fashion Aids for apparel or ornamental sewing (i.e. Buttonholer, Blind Stitcher, etc…), we will prepare samples for those as well should you decide to purchase them separately.

You can also rest knowing that the Original Bobbin Case is most definitely included, assuring you of an original quality stitch all these years later.  It is a delightful thought to think about some of the possible things that were lovingly sewn on this machine in its lifetime.  What will you add to its sewing repertoire – quilts? The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so you won’t have to worry about tension when you receive your machine, but having a numbered tension dial will make it easier to set it back should you need to adjust it for any reason.

You will notice that this machine is fitted with a scrolled faceplate and the original case includes the tray for holding the box of attachments, manual, etc..
