This Singer Featherweight 221 is in great condition, and it was commissioned on February 19th, 1947. Cleaned and serviced inside and out – this 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 110-volt motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque.

Finding one of these early 1947 Featherweights in such good condition is extremely rare! We have seen many with significant wear, indeed, this is the first one that we have ever sold that has been given the grade 8.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later. The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.
The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and the original case includes the top tray for holding the attachments.
