Singer Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine, AJ646*** The Singer Featherweight Shop

We are very excited to add this lovely Featherweight 221 to the site.  Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled – rest assured, this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case.  This machine is fitted with a powerful original 110-volt motor that has been rewound to perform at optimum speed and torque.

AJ646*** indicates an original production commission date of June 1st, 1950.  This machine’s commission date was exactly 71 years ago today (June 1st, 2021)!!! The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so you won’t have to worry about tension when you receive your machine, but having a numbered tension dial will make it easier to set it back should you need to adjust it for any reason.

You will notice that this machine is fitted with a striated faceplate and the original case includes the tray for holding the box of attachments, manual, etc..
