Singer Featherweight 221K Sewing Machine, French EH132*** The Singer Featherweight Shop

We are very excited to add this lovely French 221K to the site.  Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled – rest assured, this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case.  This machine is fitted with its original 110v motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque.

You might be wondering, “what makes this a French Featherweight?”  This machine comes with its original French manual, an original 110v motor with Alternate Power decal, and a very interesting French Decal on the back arm of the machine. This machine was manufactured in the UK but sold in France and has the French decal to indicate where the machine was produced. These machines are quite rare and a unique installment for all Featherweight collections.
   
EH132*** indicates an original production commission date of February 29th, 1952, and it is given a Grade 8.  Be sure to click on any image far above to view the close-up details of this Singer Featherweight machine. It is in beautiful condition with light wear.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later.  The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.

The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and the original case includes the top tray for holding the attachments.
