The Featherweight Shop’s machine shipping staff is out of the shop the first week of February, and this machine will ship the second week of February (7-11).

Stunning unique Centennial Featherweight in superb condition.  Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled – rest assured, this Featherweight 221K will be ready to sew right out of the case.

 There are a few components of the machine indicating that it was marketed in Sweden: the plaque on the front, the Bakelite-banded motor with gold writing, and the markings on the light housing.  This machine is fitted with its original rare 220-volt motor that has been rewound to 110 voltage to work at optimum speed and torque, so you can plug it in and begin sewing with effortless power. This 1951 Featherweight also bears a Centennial badge in celebration of Singer’s 100-year anniversary.

EH008*** indicates an original production commission date of December 18th, 1951, at Singer’s factory in Kilbowie, Scotland. It is given a Grade 8.  Be sure to click on any image above to view the machine for closer detail.  This machine is in great condition with just some light pin scratches.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later.  The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.

The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and the original case includes the top tray for holding the foot controller and some attachments.
