Vintage Original Needle / Throat Stitch Plate for the Singer Featherweight 221. This throat plate has no seam line measurements or graduated markings and would be for Featherweights from the early 1930’s to about 1952.
Remember, this is an original, vintage part (not new) and will have evidence of sewing use for a part that is approximately 60 to 80 years old. If your throat plate is worn through around the feed dog slots or is missing altogether from your machine, then this will be the perfect replacement.
IMPORTANT — When the throat plate is removed for cleaning the stitch-forming mechanism, etc., make certain, when replacing the throat plate, that the position finger (A2 in figure image above) of the bobbin case base enters the notch (B2) of the position plate attached to the underside of the throat plate.
